Back to HOMEFTDNA Account: Opt in to matching
You can control the level at which you see and are seen by DNA matches.

1. Access Account Settings | Privacy & Sharing.
2. Look for Matching Preferences.
3. Adjust the slider Opt in to Matching to the right. This will make your results visible to all your matches, regardless of the type of DNA test.
4. If you do not want to be visible to your matches, adjust the slider to the left.
When you OPT OUT of matching, your data and contact details will be completely invisible to when your matches access their autosomal, mtDNA or yDNA matches. However, you will not be able to see your matches either.
5. You can also control the degree to which you participate in matching. Continue scrolling down the Privacy & Sharing page.
Find Family Finder Match Levels, mtDNA Match Levels, or Y-DNA Match Levels.
Adjust the match levels to your preferences.
If, for example, you have tested Y111 and do not want to see data at Y67, Y37, Y25, and Y12 or make your contact information visible to matches at those levels, you can choose to participate at the matching level Y-DNA111.
If you want to adjust Matching Notifications, visit Account Settings | Notification Preferences.
